Mr. Smith began working on transactions as a new lawyer in 1998. In a few short years, he was handling major transactions from beginning to end for multiple clients, including, handling several large multi-million dollar loans for a lender. By 2008, Mr. Smith was hired as General Counsel of an automotive conglomerate to lead an aggressive growth strategy. Mr. O'Toole was almost immediately brought on as the Deputy General Counsel forming a powerful legal team. Mr. Smith and Mr. O'Toole began to negotiate, draft and review all legal documents pertaining to mergers, acquisitions, asset dispositions, financings and re-financings in multiple industries and jurisdictions including U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, China and Germany. These transactions ranged from $10 Million to over $100 Million in industries such as automotive, retail and aerospace involving plastics, metals and technology. Mr. Smith and Mr. O'Toole completed over 40 acquisitions and divestitures in just over six (6) years. They also completed dozens of financing transactions totaling in the aggregate over $1 Billion in funding.
